Information Overload

I am trying to figure out the best way to create and share content.  The other part of this is finding the best way to let people know I have new content.  This is not to say that I create anything worth looking at, but a few people do like to read my text and view my pictures.  Very few.

So here is my current design of information flow.  Zombiechuck.com is the blog site which all text enteries are made via my blog software of choice and picked up on FB by RSS feed.  All mobile photos are sent to Facebook.  I use Twitterfeed to send a twat out for each text post I make,  well I should say 1 text post per hour, I am not trying to spam the few followers I have on Twitter if I or something else goes crazy and posts a crap load within the time frame I have set for the feed to be checked.  So this means I have the two “hot technologies” spreading the gospel of Chuck.  I need to figure out what I am going to do for mobile photos.  I need to figure out a way to have them on WP and FB at the same time.  I am not sure that I can do that without another 3rd party app, but there may be WP plugin that will work.

It’s three days later, I did not publish this post as it was too “thinking aloud” for me.  Well I found the third party app.  Posterous.com is it.  I noticed VegasRex using it for his live updates and decided to check it out.  It is dipshit easy and a great way to spread content.  Email the content to your posterous account having setup where you want it to go and Whamo (the makers of the Hula Hoop) it goes there.  It even sends you an email back to let you know it sent it out.

Right now I have it connected to Twitter and Facebook.  I am deciding how I want to do connect it here.  I may leave it off, because face it, there is no need to have it post here, as I plan on using it only for mobile pics and FB and I don’t see the need for them here.

As Rex said, and I agree it is going to be the next big service.  I can go to any page, click a button in my browser and have content on that page shared to my Posterous page in seconds.  It is just great.  I texted the link to the great and mighty Bananachunks tonight and he already has his person URL pointed at it.  Go sign up now.

Dearest Battlestar Galactica

You failed me.  Seinfeld finale was better than yours.  No really.

Quit reading if you have not seen the finale and want to keep it a surprise.  I just watched it tonight, a week and a day after it aired in the USA so I am behind.  You have beem warned.

BSG was a show I loved.  Season one and two might well rank up there as some of the best TV ever.  Definately some of the best old school Sci-Fi ever created.  It was relevant to the times, it took things to the edge and a little bit past.  Then season three hit the ariwaves, and they Lois and Clarked it.  Lois and Clark is what I call taking a great show, changing it and then wondwering why it failed.  Season 3 was nothing but a series of one liners,  nothing was linked and the way was lost.  Season 4 got back on track, then 4.5 started.

It was like watching some smart people try and dig their way out of a hole.  Deeper and deeper into the bullshit they went.  Then it was time for the finale.  Things were painfully obvious as to how it would end.  The only thing that I did not happen was the complete destruction of Galactica in battle, the way she should have died.

In the end, rather than explain Starbucks rebirth, they decided to make it a mystery of the church disapperance.  The bitch kid they went to save?  Yeah turns out she was the first human, we are all Cylon/Human hybrids, only well humans are humans.. don’t try and think about it, your head will explode.  Or not.

Earth is found, you know the last time they found Earth, well that was old Earth, this is Earth2.. no wait, that was another shitty Sci Fi show.. so this was Earth Duex.  You know the vision of Six that Baltar had, and the vision of Baltar Caprica 6 had?  Yeah they are angels.. god sent them. Oh but God hates that name or something.  I didn’t really think to hard about the god thing,  I was afraid my head would explode.

Then there is the last scene, the angels in modern society, making a comment on our current state.  My thought on this read something along the lines of:  DO YOU FUCKING THINK I AM SO STUPID I NEED YOU TO SPELL THIS OUT? YOU FUCKING MAKE ME SICK YOU ARROGANT PIECES OF SHIT.  I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL FOR THE HOURS I WASTED WATCHING YOUR SHOW AFTER SEASON 2.  IF YOU WERE WHORES I WOULD WOULDN”T EVEN BOTHER TO KILL YOU AND PUT YOU IN MY TRUNK YOU FUCKING FUCKS.

In Summary:  EPIC FAIL
