It Must be a Generational Thing.. OMFG LOLZ

I picked up some groceries last night,  not much,  just a bunch of chicken, some ground turkey, fruit, and typical crapola.  I use the environmentally friendly reusable bags.  I really don’t care about saving a tree or keeping plastic out of the landfills, because I reuse the plastic bags for other things.  What I like about them is they hold a lot of stuff and they are easy to carry.  The only problem is that baggers at the store pack them poorly,  even when I do the hard part.

I put the bags on the conveyor first.  I them place the items that go on the bottom of the bags next,  followed by the middle items, followed by the light items.  I learned this process when I worked at a grocery store and packed paper bags.  My guess is the girl packing my bags yesterday has only packed plastic bags, which you just pack like items together and then stack them in the cart so that nothing gets crushed.  The girl yesterday ignored my system and did a piss poor job of getting things right.  When it came time to collect my things she wanted to know if i wanted the few remaining items in a plastic bag.  I said no, asked for the item, stuck them in the bags and went on my way.

It was only a minor peeve and when I thought about it I decided that it had to be that she never packed or atleast learned to pack paper bags because no one uses them anymore.  This also means that kids are probably not making masks out of paper bags, or putting them on their feet and scooting across the floor.  Kids these days with their fancy iPods and Wii’s have nothing on me,  I made my own space man helmets out of paper bags growing up.   Damn I wish I had had a Wii.

I am almost certain 34% is still too high

I was browsing my Google Analytics info today, mainly to see if Chuckisgreat.com happened to be getting any hits.  It is getting a few, which is good considering no one really knows about it.  the one stat I always like to look at is the Browser/OS being used.

I took a gander at both zombiechuck and chuckisgreat and both had Firefox in the lead.  Internet Explorer was second with about 34% of all users.  I would like to see IE move to usage in the 20% range but alas, that is not to be.  Too many people use IE because crappy web apps rely on it.  Tis stupid.  But anyway it goes to show, more smart people hit my stuff than dumb people.

Just call me an asshole

I have been reading about this health care crap that is running through the government lately.  Mainly I pay attention to how they are going to pay for this clusterfuck of a plan.  First they were planning on taxing those of us that paid for our health insurance.  Now they plan on taxing those that make more than $200K a year ($250K for a couple) along with employers that do not offer a health care benefit.  The number I am hearing is $600 billion.

This is where you should call me an asshole, get ready.  I don’t support, nor will I ever support a socialized medicine plan.  There I said it.  Call me a cocksucking right wing douchebag asshole.  There are a lot of things in this world that I think everyone has a right to,  but being able to go to the doctor is not one of them.  When you allow this to happen people that already pollute the gene pool will live longer and have an easier time reproducing and having offspring that further endanger the survival of the species.

Ok so I have a screwed up outlook on evolution and life in general but lets be logical.  Why do I have to pay for my neighbors health care?  They had every chance I had in life to get a job that had healthcare as a benefit.  I already pay a shit load in taxes for things I do not use (your kids daycare public education for one).  Do I think society has an obligation to look after it’s people?  Yes.  Do I think society should be forced to look after it’s people? No.

The current plan is not socialized medicine.  It is filler insurance for people that do not have insurance.  So basically any money spent on this benefits one part of the population while taking money from another.  I am fairly certain you could refuse to use the coverage, but I am almost certain that you could not opt out of paying the taxes.  Seems a bit unbalanced to me.  Of course I felt this was the case when the stimulus plans:

1. Provided money to people that did not pay taxes
2. Provided money to help private banks
3. Provided money to help private auto maker

The idea of penalizing those that make above a certain amount of money will never be understood by me.  Because some guy/gal decides to bust ass building a business, employing people and trying to be a good citizen he gets fucked over by having to pay more of his hard earned money to the government to pay for something he does not benefit from.  Who is going to benefit from it?  Probably someone that pays too much tax for booze and cigarettes, got abused by a large manufacturing plant in bum fuck NC,  got laid off because the plant closed as the government allowed unskilled jobs to be outsourced to four year olds in a sweat shop in Madagascar.  In this case two hard working Americans got fucked by government,  therefore I say they are the holes of ass, not me.

I really can’t figure out Transformers Reviews

This is a list of the top ten flaws (as the writer sees it) of Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen.  I cannot say the guy is out of line on most of these flaws.  Each one is either 100% correct or correct enough that you have to get geeky to explain it away.  The problem with stories and reviews like this are they are calling people stupid.

This article basically plays off calling people stupid by doing the old, “What do I know, people gave it a B plus?”  You spent half a page taking a shit on the movie and then go on to say,  you must be wrong because other people like it.  What you are saying is “I just called all of you fucking morons for not noticing these flaws and I think this movie is pure shit, but I am going to say I am wrong even though I just said you were wrong.”  To me the idea of a list like this for anyone other than a blogger is lazy writing, it is filler because he had nothing to write today and needed a word count to get paid.

These type reviews (I know it is more a bitch session than review) almost always say “Now I can get into suspension of disbelief.. blah blah blah.”  No you can’t.  If you can than you can accept the ten things in your own list.  Except for the end of the movie when I had to piss I was into this movie without a thought of  anything else.  I just went along for a fun ride.  This fucker went into the movie thinking “This is going to suck and I am going to not like it”, and he looked for things to dislike.  Fine, post it on your personal blog,  god knows I bitch about things I hate here,  but if I was writing for Yahoo or some other place I would like to think I would be a bit more objective.

I admit, I used to go to movies thinking “This is going to suck, I will hate it.”   Usually I ended up hating it,  now I watch movies with blinders on.  I try and go in with as little knowledge as possible, watch it and not expect to like or dislike it before seeing it.  Certain exceptions exist.  GI JOE I think will be a shitty movie, but I also expect to like it a lot.

Anyway, back to why Transformers is getting bad reviews.  The critics were not not supposed to like the first one, so when it came to the sequel they had to pan it.  “I mean it is Micheal Bay for gods sake, he sucks right?  And this is just a fluff action movie that will make money anyway,  lets trash the fucker. ”

Oh and I am also guessing the genius that wrote this list also thought “The Sixith Sense” had an amazing secret at the end.
